How to Make a Seasonal Tunnel Card

Seasons Tunnel Cards Clare Charvill Graphic 45
Happy Friday every one.
I've been having a bit of a rummage through my paper drawers this week, and used up  some papers left over from other projects to make a few cards for my card box. I've made tunnel cards before, but re sized these ones to fit the G45 4" x 6" cut aparts on the 12 x 12 sheets and ephemera cards.

Each card takes one 12 x 12 sheet of paper with pictures and images you can cut out/or left over ephemera cards, one sheet of coordinating 12 x 12 patterns and solids and one sheet of coordinating 12 x 12 cardstock.

After a few cuts with the paper trimmer, and a little fussy cutting the cards are ready to assemble.
If you fancy having a go at making them yourself follow the video below.  You'll find the supply list and what to cut at the start.

Have a fun weekend what ever you're up to.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone coming along to Saturdays workshop at 'Box of Delights' in Northampton.
ta ta 'till my next post :-) Cx

Come and join me in my craft room

Hi everyone, I've finally gotten around to doing a video from my Craft Room this week so thought I'd share it with you,  along with a bunch of ideas and tips I picked up before I started that may help you if you're thinking of redesigning your crafty space too.
1. Where do you start..........!!!!?  Watch videos on You Tube and check out Pinterest for ideas. Looking at the mountain of crafty products I'd accumulated over the years, most of which was towering around me as I worked from the dining room table I knew I needed an organised space, that was light and airy.
2. What colour should it be - there are so many options out there.  I fell in love with some curtains, they were my starting point so after buying a load of samples and doodling on different walls I eventually went for Duck Egg Blue to create a calm backdrop.
3. What sort of storage and what colour?   A great tip I picked up was think big rather than small.  We're hoarders lol!! I decided on white units and having seen loads of rooms kitted out in Ikea storage took myself off to our local store. They have so many mix and match solutions at really reasonable prices.  I did two visits just to look at stuff but not to buy and then a whole load more trips to pick everything up. Oh and then a couple more after the room was finished too.
3. Do you want things out on show or stored away? - this was a great tip.  I went for away.....  After looking at what I wanted to store away I could decide on the unit sizes.
4.  Plan the furniture into your space - my room is only 12'  x 8' ish but the ceilings are really high. I measured, remeasured, including the inside spaces of units and drawer inserts to check they'd hold 12 x 12 papers, as well as everything else to give me maximum vertical storage and a maximum floor space to move around in to.  I went for freestanding units rather than fitted cabinets.
5.  Get the maximum from the space you have - The Kallax Units are great for everything 12 x 12. The Billy Bookcase & extension shelf were perfect for the door wall.  (A narrower unit, with moveable shelves) which left me a good walkway into the room and space to get into the corner of the Kallax unit on the side wall too).

6.  Are you filming in your room?  - decide where your camera needs to be, what lighting you need and the electrics.  I went for a wall mounted Manfrotto camera arm, Mini Sun LED bulbs and electrics including USB points fixed under the desk. Oli fitted the electrics and USB points under the desk......
7.  Do you need a photography area? - I factored in space for a photo tent/surfaces for photoing and additional lighting
8. What do you need to hand when you're crafting? -  I went for wall mounted pegboards and accessories from Ikea above my desk rather than on it to keep my working surface to a maximum too.
9.  Label things - what a great tip that was. I bought a Dymo labeller, labelled everything so no more rummaging through boxes:-)
After two weeks of hard graft and an extra week or two to sort through eerything and move it into it's new home I'm loving my new space and all the things around me that make me happy...........πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

Happy New Year and our January 2018 Giveaway

Avery Elle Monster Card Clare Charvill
Happy New Year to you.  Here's to a fantabulous 2018.  Have you set yourself some resolutions?  I've a couple in mind for myself here !!!!!  ................ !! so let's see how we go. Before getting started on my new paper based project I thought I'd create a party themed panel to bring in the New Year. I  chose the Monsters from the Avery Elle Monster stamp set.  I love those little guys, they're so easy to colour with your pens/pencils.  I found a couple I'd already coloured with Zig Watercolour pens in with the stamp set and then coloured a few more with my copics to make up the little group of New Year revellers lol!!!

It's Raining Cats and Dogs :-)

Raining Cats and Dogs Photo Folio Clare Charvill Graphic 45
Morning Everyone, it's a chilly one here, the snow from the last couple of days has been rained away leaving a damp dull day hanging over us!!! but it's cozy warm and colourful here in the craft room.  I'm really excited to be sharing a new make with you today using papers and embellishments from the Raining Cats and Dogs Deluxe collectors Edition from Graphic 45.  I loved this paper collection when it was released a few years ago and love it as much, or maybe a little more second time around.  It's perfect to create pet themed projects, but if like me you only have a goldfish and no pet pictures to add into an album or folio you can easily create beautiful projects by using the B side of the papers.  The colours in this collection are just gorgeous.
The Photo Folio measures 10 1/4" x 8 1/4", and has room to showcase twenty 6 x 4 photos plus additional space for more pics and memorabilia too.  Here's a pics of the pages

Hand Made gifts at Christmas

Oliver & Harry Charvill playing Chess Graphic 45
Oliver & Harry playing chess
Morning everyone and Happy Christmas to you from us all.  I hope you had a truly festive time with your loved ones.  Sadly my little sis and uncle were both in hospital over the Christmas period, so Annie and Uncle Russ, we're sending you both all our love and get well soon wishes.
Each of the kiddy winkies had a hand made gift in with their presents this year. Sophie had a sewing Kit for her new house, Harry had Othello to take back to Uni with him and Oliver had his Compendium of Games with a special little note inside from Mum.  I was really overwhelmed to see tears in his eyes when he opened it.  There really is something very special about giving hand made gifts as presents.
I used my Mini Games Box Kit minus the boards and one divider for Sophie's sewing kit going vintage Graphic 45 with papers from the Magic of Oz collection. The Dorothy, Toto and 'There's no place like home' picture was just perfect for the lid.
The full Mini Games Box Kit for Harry's Othello - altered in papers from the Master Detective Collection by G45.
and here's the same kit altered in papers from the Fairie Dust collection.  There kit comes with instructions on how to assemble the box, make the game and how to play too - thanks to Auntie Annie who wrote the instructionsπŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—.

And last but not least I used the Compendium of Games Kit for Oli's mahusive box of games.
Compendium of Games
After wiping the floor with me during a very quick game, Harry sat down with Oli for a very long and tactical game of chess, and eventually beat him too.

Definitely a picture to scrapbook for their albums......... xx
Well my lovelies, I'm off to finish a new Photo Folio today so hope to share that with you in my next post.  Have a great rest of your day, thanks for calling by and Happy Christmas to you all

Winter Wonderland is here :-)

Evening everyone, how are you?  It's been a busy few weeks here with one thing and another.  I was down at SirStampalot on Saturday for a fab workshop in Janice and Andys new Warehouse. They've worked really hard to create a cosy crafting area and we all had a great day creating our projects and eating festive treats lol!!! Here's a few action shots from our day.  Janice thanks for putting on the workshop and ladies thank you for coming along and joining me.  Enjoy using your Seasons sets :-)

After a quick zip back up the A14/M6 it was off to meet up with school friends for a really enjoyable girly eve before it snowed by the bucket full over night creating a truly wonderful Winter wonderland outside on Sunday morning. Brrrrrrrrr!!!.  The perfect day to put up the Christmas Tree.
